From a young age, I was always drawn to the quiet companionship and gentle presence of cats. Watching kittens grow, develop their personalities, and form deep bonds with their families sparked something meaningful in me. Over time, that admiration grew into a genuine passion for raising kittens with care, patience, and purpose.
When I welcomed my first Russian Blue into my life, I instantly fell in love with the breed's calm intelligence, soft plush coat, and striking emerald green eyes. The Russian Blue cat personality is truly special. They are loyal without being demanding, affectionate without being overwhelming, and playful while remaining graceful and composed. Their gentle temperament and deep devotion to their families make them exceptional companions.
That love and respect for the breed led to the creation of Silvermist Russian Blue, a small, home-based cattery proudly serving families across Houston, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, and all of Texas. We focus exclusively on raising purebred Russian Blue kittens in Texas, nurturing them in a clean and loving environment where they receive daily socialization, careful attention, and proper veterinary care.
